never takes responsibility for their actions and blames everyone but themselves?

I have a sister who NEVER admits that she is wrong. Her kids are the same way...the Blame Game..it really sickens me!!

No matter what goes wrong in their lives, they can find someone to blame. When does this kind of attitude end? Do they ever grow up?

I could name someone off the top of my head, but I don't want this to end up in the politics board. :D

That annoys me so much that I generally always tell my boss it's my fault if my staff does something wrong. Word gets around, though, and I have a staff that knows I've got their back. I had a guy who would blame anyone but himself...but he was my first fire. :)

Yeah, I know people like that.

I had a guy who would blame anyone but himself...but he was my first fire. :)I'm like that too, sort of. I can be like that at times, I'll admit. But when I'm working, no.

In the Army, I'd always admit to screwing up (assuming I'd actually done it, that is). When I fixed watches, my boss would say that I'd break everything, but at least I'd admit to it and save her the hassle of finding out who did it. At church, I'll let my head pastor know if I've screwed up before the problem is even over.

I think everyone has this problem to some extent. There are always situations where people dont want to admit that they were part of the problem.

Take the situation where all of DF's posts were deleted. Would he admit that he had anything to do with that, of course not. He would blame the dayuuum hacker who worked for the man. Truth is, if HE didnt post so much, then he wouldnt have been the intended target. Right? So therefore, its all his fault. :hihi:

I kid. I kid.

Seriously, though. Different situations invariably lead to different levels of perceived culpability, which leads to one's ability to shift blame. For example, someone slams on their brakes because a crazy man in a german luxury car cut them off. Unfortunately, you couldnt stop your car in time and plowed into the car in front of you.

You are at fault for failing to leave enough distance between you and the other car.
The crazy man in the german luxury car is at fault for driving erratically and cutting off the person you hit.
The car's manufacturer is at fault for failing to make it so that the car could stop in a super small distance.
The person who you hit is at fault for failing to take an different evasive action.

Each person would probably say that its someone elses fault there, when in reality, the situation could have been avoided by any one of those people taking a different action. Thus, who would you say is really at fault there?

/me makes a few notes in my journal about possible evidence that UF had something to do with the missing posts.

A little bit of blaming is human nature, but I am becoming convinced that the more mentally ill a person is, the larger the selection of objects they will blame.

I have known some real wackos who seem to never examine themselves but can find hundreds of reasons to blame others for their situation in life.
