Konami is gonna sell 25kg arcade replica of DDR controller for PS/PS2. The DDR Arcade Style Controller will be released in limited quantity (100 units, online order only) on September 30, for 198,000 yen.
I've been using the cheap fabric controller and it's always been slipping around. I want THIS ONE! I wonder how much for the international shipping and handling.

Yeah, my friends and I have the same problem with those mats. The best thing we could come up with was velcro <-- is that spelled right?....but once we moved out of the dorms and didn't have that cheap "flat" carpet anymore, not even that worked.
Oh well, just an excuse to go to Santa Monica Pier and play there instead. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif

I taped my flimsy dance pad onto a big flat piece of cardboard. It keeps it pretty flat for a long time.

Well DDR gets boring once you know all the move. Prior then that, it's still a cool game for me.

I don't know what the game is called but it's from Korea, it's also a dancing game. I saw it at one of the import showoffs I attended this year.
That one was way cool...
DDR can be boring (the first one that is) the next few versions after that are way hard! haven't seen them for sale in stores... just at places where they had "burned" games for sale....

People play DDR in public are unabashed nerds. And people who play it in private are just pathetic. Sorry to offend you DDR freaks.
damn.... he shoveled that from over 3 years ago :disa:

LOL! I used to be a huge fan of DDR -- but now I rarely play at all (partly because there's no way I'll ever be as good as some of the players here, and also because it's just the same old, same old every time).
Now if America got some Beatmania IIDX for PS2, then that would be a totally different story (I'm not modding my PS2 just to play one style of game).
