I was just being a bit sarcastic about the game of the year comment because of that one other game everyone and their brother (and their brother's dog) is addicted to. Believe it or not, I have still not given deus ex a try. I know I should give it the respect it deserves by at least borrowing it from a friend or finding the demo, but I just haven't found the time yet. Oh, and spigidygak, it is really good as far as graphics and play control goes. I've heard that you might be able to play through the game in about 10 hrs, but that is without making the effort to find all of the cool weapons and secret areas. As for myself, I haven't played that other game that everyone seems to be addicted to in almost a month. I haven't even gotten through Act I yet! I played for about 2 days and haven't gotten aboard the bandwagon again. I fear what may happen if I do! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I just downloaded the updated demo of Heavy Metal F.A.K.K.2 last night (I did not play the original demo). All I can say is: WOW! Having not heard much about this game, I was not sure what to expect. The visuals are simply beautiful and the play control is the most unique of any game that I have played. The combo moves are completely awesome (and the look cool too)! My DDR GeForce really lets the graphics shine. I definitely plan on buying this game when it comes out! well spank my a$$ and call me charlie. it appears that FAKK2 went gold on august 2 and is already in stores... hmm. silly me.

Yup, it's been out for a while. Is it really that good though? I'm sticking to Deus EX for now. I heard that KISS game is pretty fun too.

Heavy Metal F.A.K.K.2 is a great looking game that uses the Quake 3 engine. Unfortunately the game is extremely short. It only is about 10 hours long. So its not a good bang for the money you spend. Not to mention it was extremely buggy when first released (before the patches). It wouldn't run on about 25% of the computers of the people who bought it.

Deus Ex is a great game plays like crap on non-3dfx cards. It uses the Unreal engine which had crappy Direct3D support. Certainly this wonderful title deserves game of the year over the repetitious and overhyped Diablo 2 (hack slash hack slash move yawn).

Kiss is an okay game, a B- title very reminscent of Doom. You fight against many braindead opponents.

/me gives no care to Diablo, hated the first and the second looks the same. Just not my type of game I guess.
