Curiosity question for everyone here....do you have any allergies and how severe are they?
Personally, I am allergic to some types of grass (eyes get all inflamed when its cut) and Cranberries. Yep, cranberries and me are a no-no. I dont know if its a deadly combination as I have only had 2 incidents in my life spaced 15 years apart. However, I immediately break out in hives, my throat starts to itch and starts feeling exceedingly odd (possibly swelling).
I dont know if I am allergic to shrimp, lobster, and crab as they taste so bad to me I wont go near them, but my mother is deathly allergic to them, so my taste aversion (which was before she developed her allergy) combined with her new allergy makes me worry about whether I may be allergic to them as well.
Thats it for me.
How could I forget Cats. I am alergic to cats.

I can't eat most melons - cantaloupes & honeydew melons especially. I get horrendous stomachaches from them.

Anything that grows is what I am allergic to.
I take allergy shots and I was amazed at the positive reactions when I had allergy testing. My immune system must be totally out of whack

No allergies I'm aware of.
I grew up in the country and had a fairly country-style diet. So my immune system got exposed to everything growing up and grew strong :D .

I'm allergic to various grasses, weeds, trees, pollen, and some molds... however I've been on allergy injections for the better part of seven years so these allergies don't affect me as much as they used to... that and the fact that I have learned to live with them so that they don't stop me from doing what I gotta do (i.e. cutting grass and hangin' out outside...)
Also.. I'm allegic to White Castle Hamburgers, raw onions, bleu cheese and ranch dressings... as they treat my stomach like razor blades.

Yeah. . . I have lots of allergies. Was on allergy injections for 3 years and decided that they weren't doing much good anyway. The only foods that I am allergic to are strawberries so far. Other than that it is all types of trees, grass, mold, mites, cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits. One of the only things that didn't come up positive was ragweed.

I dont know what in the air i was/am allergic to.
It was much worse when I was younger...never went to the doctor for any prescriptions...became tollerant to all over the counter pills.
Then...one day my aunt (a nurse) brought me a box of sample packs of claritin. Oh that was heaven.
Since mid HS it hasnt been as bad. Only time I had to take anything in recent memory was last year camping in august.

I'm allergic to cats and dogs, and it sucks! The allergy just developed out of nowere, my friend had the same cat for the past 13 years and suddenly 2 years ago I started having allergic reactions to it and with that came more allergies...I went to get myself tested and apparently I have an extreme allergy to oak (and most other trees) which is really strange considering I go camping every year and haven't had any bad reaction to my surroundings (knock on wood)...
allergies suck!

i didn't think i had allergies til the past year or so. went into the doctors for what i thought was a severe cold, and turned out to be allergies. started taking a mix of OTC clariton, benedryl, and some nose spray stuff, and voila, no more itchy eyes and runny nose! not a clue that i'm allergic too, but i guess it's our fine LA air!

I have the typical ragweed/other crap allergies that show up in the middle of summer and last through October. They are usually only moderate in severity and easily controlled with some Claritin 24 hr OTC, but occasionaly it gets bad enough to swell up my eyes like funny looking golf balls.

I used to be severely allergic to the cold (just cold anything). if you put an ice cube on my arm, I'd have hives on my arm within a minute. swimming in the pool, I'd get hives on my stomach/pelvis. if I started breathing hard/getting winded in the cold, my windpipe would swell up (almost died from that). I'm still allergic, but not as severe. I can run in the cold and be ok now.
I'm also allergic to fruits with skins that you would eat.....such as apples, pears, peaches, plums, grapes, tomatoes, etc etc.
I'm also allergic to cats, and the normal hayfever type stuff.
yes, I'm your pencil-necked-geek, allergies galore.

I'm allergic to some seafood, I still haven't figured out what. I think it's just when it goes bad. I get a pretty narly rash that look like huge red bumps all over my body.
I'm lightly allergic to some types of grass, sadly one type is the grass at the park where my church insists on playing volleyball every week.
And I'm generally allergic to the city of Irvine.
