In many ways, my switch to gmail far surpasses the storage. I like the cleaness of the site (which now everyone is copying), the concept of the conversation, and the search features. I think I just feel that the people at google really understand what users want...more features...more power...but not all the overhead. And it extends into all of their products, not just gmail.

And being the weird one that I am, I will have to say I love the ads on the side of google. It is hilarious to look at the ads the place on the side and then figure out what in your message made them link that ad with it.

i don't see any strings attached to it. do you?One big string: the likelyhood that the site will go belly-up and take your 2GB of mail with it.

I haven't used my gmail account at all. I like yahoo more and I hate hotmail. Even when hotmail gets bumped up to 250 their spam filter is horrible and I hate their layout. Just my two cents.

That is why you hook it up to Outlook and you don't ever have to look at that ugly hotmail interface again. :D
