deleting an OS

i have 2 scenarios:

1) i have 2 OS on one hard drive. One is XP, the other 2k. how do i delete 2k? when i went to the 'WINNT' folder file and click on the uninstall icon, i get this message: "Unable to locate the installation log file ". Uninstallation will not continue." tried googling it, but no help. :|

2) i have 2 hard drives, with XP on both. how do i uninstall one of them? there isn't an uninstall file. :shrug:

Uh, if you're not going to use it at all, boot from one, delete the files on the other. No uninstallation to go through because the system is intact on the one you're using.

Theoretically, and after you're sure you have whatever files and system settings you want preserved, then do that. I think, though I'm sure there are folks who are far more knowledgable who'd be able to give you a better response.

No, that's absolutely right -

Scenario 1 - Boot from XP, delete the W2K folder (hopefully it's installed in a different folder than XP!)

Scenario 2 - Install both drives into a system, boot from the OS you want to keep, and then just manually delete the files on the other disk. If you want to clean the other disk entirely, just remove the partition, re-create it & format it.
