i got screwed by an ebay-er with PERFECT FEEDBACK!!! he had nearly 200 PERFECT FEEDBACKS over the course of 2 years! all those "rules" that ebay talks about is CRAP. none of it has ever worked for me or for my friends.

man, i hate ebay. second time i got screwed over,... should've learned the first time but nooooo, figured, hey, it's got THOUSANDS of people on it with successful transactions. why not me??

ok,... i just needed to rant. i say all those who've been screwed over by ebay or paypal (which is the 1st time i got screwed over - freaking stupid paypal) post here. i'm going to take the rants and try to take it to someone who'll listen up there in freaking san jose.

Can we be more specific about what happened?

I've had a few bad experiences, but my overall experience with Ebay is mostly positve...

basically, bought a lens. it's crap so the guy lied. claiming ignorance saying that the fedex did it which is hard for me to believe because he packed it REAL well and did everything one should do when mailing lenses.

so now i have a dud lens which i'll take later to the nikon shop to see how much it'll cost me to fix.

what kills me is his perfect feedback and i still got swindled. what a load.

Was the package insured? If so, have the seller file the FedEx damage report to have the unit inspected for damage. Hopefully you kept all of the packing materials.

Question #2 - how did you pay for it? PayPal or credit card maybe? If so, file a "Buyer Dispute" for damaged goods and get you money back.

:stupid: do NOT pay for it yourself. either fedex or this tool should pay for it.
