I need some good ideas for some gifts for the guys that wrote me recommendations for Bschool. I know it may look like bribery, but I did give them 4 recommendations to do in a month, and i think one of the guys stayed up until midnight to finish one tonight, and has two more due today and tomorrow. So I think I owe them at least a dinner (without me around, with their family).

One of the guys loves wine, one is a technie/apple fanatic, one loves steaks, and one...is a republican? ;)

I'm getting the wine guy a $50 GC or so to a wine store (size of half a grocery store, neat place) because he did only one.

I guess I should get the steak guy a GC to Ruth Chris. However, I think a $100 GC won't even cover a meal. What do you guys think? Will he end up spending $200 just to use my $100?

I'm thinking to get either a Bestbuy gc, or buy him a copy of Tiger (OSX.4) which I think is $129. Any thoughts?

I could vote for Bush to please the republican :) but I think that's a bad idea. What would you guys do for this guy?

I like Voting for Bush.

Otherwise? If you have to go for something on the Republican, go to the Spalding Group's W store and buy something there.

I like the idea of getting the Mac guy Tiger but give him the receipt in case he already bought it. Then it becomes a nice GC.

I don't know what else otherwise.

I was just joking. He's known as the republican guy on our team. So I kinda prod at that, but I don't think it's approproate.

The problem with tiger is that it's not available to preorder just yet, so I can't it it for him unless I give him an IOU.

So i guess my only question here is two fold. How much do you think is good, and if I give them a GC to a steakhouse (Ruth Chris), how much will they end up spending? I don't know anything about those top steakhouses, but I heard a good meal costs $200?
