god...i collect tons of things...

I used to collect cards. Magic, Star Trek CCG, Babylon 5 CCG. They're sitting in a box under my futon now.

I started to collect video games, but that got expensive. I do have about total 50 games for all consoles.

I collect sports jerseys, namely buying cheap ones off ebay. The neat ones I have are a Yao Ming Houston Rockets Jersey, a Astros Jersey, and a Calgary Flames Red Jersey.

I collect golf ball sleeves. They look cool.

I collect electronics and computers...not really for fun, I just accumulate them.

I collect tv shows like Good Eats, West Wing, Star Trek TNG (have all 7 seasons), Star Trek DS9 (all 7 seasons), Simpsons, and now maybe futurama and 24 (thanks to the fox dvd deal)

Sometimes I wonder whether I'm obsessive-compulsive... :(

You better keep your collection away from me. I'm kind of hungry and might eat it.

I have a collection of travel teaspoons that they used to sell in gas stations everywhere. Now I only see them in specialty gift shops and the like, marked up five times what they used to be.

I collect old world and victorian santas. I also have 3 big boxes of basketball cards (including several good rookie cards) set away for Brayden, and my mom used to collect and trade beanies. When she got tired of the hassle, she gave Ashley about 500 of the darn things. They are packed away for her, in hopes that maybe someday they will be worth something.

Books... specifically hardcovers in the horror genre, preferably signed first editions. Dunno how I got started down that path, but I'm stuck now.

I keep trying to save up for a nice bookcase to display them, but I end up spending the money on more books. :|

Does beer count?

I used to collect bottles but that got to be a huge clutter. Now I throw the bottles away after I have all the info from them. I've tasted over 350 different beers and I keep record of them. I recently started putting them into the database at www.beeradvocate.com but it takes a while to enter that many reviews. Whenever I travel I buy local beers to bring home and taste not to mention drinking local stuff on tap. I just came back from Michigan yesterday with 12 bottles that will be consumed tonight with friends.

I have collected comics my whole life. I have a pretty large collection which is comprehensive for some titles.

I used to collect sports cards, but stopped in middle school.

For those who say they collect music, I dont think it counts unless its an actual legal copy that you bought, not one your burned.

- if DVDs are a collection, then i guess thats one of the few things i collect. after scanning all of them, i got about 325 or so according to DVD profiler.
- theres also concert tickets ive been to. theyre on my fridge door.didnt start that til last year.
- used to collect comic books - i stopped about 8 years ago. i have 2 long boxes of them, a lot of them true collectibles. maybe i should ebay them...
- used to collect Oz books. you know the Wizard of Oz? theres a whole culture behind it, about 14 books bt the original author and about 35 more by various other authors after L.Frank Baum died. im thinking of going back and collecting hardocver full color reprints.
- Used to also collect Tintin Adventures comic books. I ahd a COMPLETE collection til i moved. i lost them. thinking of collecting them again.
- i used to collect fortune cookie notes. which reminds me, i havent eaten chinese food in awhile...

oh dang, I forgot that I collect Dave Matthews Band live recordings. I never thought of it as collecting but I have hundreds of shows and they are all legal since they allow recording of their shows. Most of those come through the internet. But yeah, beer is my main collection. It is all nicely collected inside of me.

:stupid: I completely forgot about that. I have every concert ticket. But I don't display them. I just keep them all in two of those ticketmaster ticket holder things. First concert, June 2*, 1996 (or 5, whichever year Brazil Won the World Cup of Soccor) Prong, opening for Sepultura, who was opening for Pantera.

It was badass!

I forgot to mention Hard Rock Pins. Although in truth its sort of a pour over from my father in law. I end up seeing all these really cool ones and pick them up for him....but of course, I end up getting one for us too...but only if I think its really neat.

- Music (about 800 legal CDs now, over 1000 LPs before I liquidated my vinyl collection a few years ago)

- wine, mostly reds

- Statehood Quarters (primarily for my kids)

- and up until a few years ago, radios (http://www.joesradiopage.com/).

When I went through my divorce I realized that simplification is a great way to go.
