Do you have a stove or just a microwave? If you've got an oven with a range, nothing beats hamburger helper. One pot, one meal. Eat it all day. :)

If you have a frying pan:
SteakUmms sliced "steaks"
1-2 slices of provolone cheese
Hoagie Roll
Medium heat, throw 2 steaks on till they brown, flip them, slice em up, then put the cheese on top. The cheese will melt, then just scoop up the meat/cheese and put into bun/roll. Simple cheesesteak sandwich.

Personally, I just cooked like a normal person.
Mac and Cheese is always easy.
Chicken - boneless breast dipped in italian dressing then coated in bread crumbs or cornflake crumbs. Bake it at 350 for 1 hour. If you want add a pat of butter on top of the chicken to moisten it a bit.
Chicken fajitas - boneless breasts cut into strips marinated in taco seasoning/water mixture. Pour mixture in a pan on stove and cook until mixture boils off/chicken cooked. In another pan use a bit of oil and cook up some red/green/yellow peppers and onions. Heat Tortillas and place in bit of chicken and pepper/onion mixture.
Lots of other things, but you get the drift.

LoL that is definately not a college man's meal... too hard! If I cant convey the grociery list through a series of grunts and jestures, it has too many ingredients.

Boil noodles- toss can tuna fish and can mushroom soup along with some (cooked) frozen peas. If you have stale bread, crumble on top.
Anything pasta- I toss in frozen veggies or fresh into the water with the noodles to cook at the same time. Add sauce.
Want :spam: ? Slice it in a pan and add to mac & cheese.
Chicken breasts in your George Forman grill. Can maninate in BBQ sauce or salad dressing. Rice on the side.
Basics- PBJ, ramen (ten for a dollar!) , burritos (just get torrillas, can beans, cheese- roll and nuke until cheese melts- pour salsa on top).

If you don't have a stove, definitely pick up a Foreman. Get red meat or chicken and then use random stuff to season it until you find things you like. I recommend those little lime and lemon juice thingies, garlic, cumin, and of course....Frank's Red Hot (one of cooking's greatest inventions).

Put chicken, beef or pork in a pan and fry it for 15 min. Flip it over and pour in a half a can of soup (I usually prefer some sort of white cream soup) for 15 min on low heat. Boil some noodles or cook some rice and put the meat/soup over it.

Ramen, the whole assortment of Lipton noodle side dishes, Hamburger Helper.
Cheap cold cut (Oscar Myer) sanwiches.
Split Pea soup, clam chowder. Stove top stuffing.
Mashed Potatos (dirt cheap). Salads. Frozen vegetables.
Miller High Life, or Genuine Draft if your trying to impress. Evan Williams Bourbon and Coca-Cola.

tuna helper is always quick and easy. the only problem for me was having milk readily available...since i'm slightly lactose intolerant.
but something i learned from my aunt when i was young was getting bowl of rice, frying up a couple eggs, splash on some soy sauce (but i think memmi sauce is better), and mix. usually, i cook up some spam to go with this...if i'm in the mood for the sodium explosion. and if you're really desperate (or just too stinkin' lazy to cook rice), there are premade individual serving rice packs that you can buy. this recipe helped me survive my college days.
Here's the fastest way to cook spaghetti:
1) Dump some pasta into boiling water for 8 minutes, then drain
2) Put the empty pot back on the stove and pour in some Ragu or Prego sauce - the hot pot will heat the sauce for 1 minute
3) Dump pasta back in on top of the sauce, mix, and EAT!

I wondered that at first too, but I think what he's really asking is that the recipes:
1) have little to no health value
2) take about 2-3 steps
3) cost less than $3 to make
He probably assumes women don't live like pigs, so they wouldn't have such recipes.

I am a great cook but I've seen my bad days in college.
Here's a recipe that my friend's dad gave us when we were living as college students.
TACO SOUP
-Go to the store and buy a can of almost every kind of bean on the shelf. Kidney beans, navy beans, whatever...
-In a pot cook some ground meat (the more the better).
-When the meat is done add a pack or two of powdered taco seasoning, some water, all those damn beans you just bought, and cook that ish until its hot.
-Eat it with tortilla chips thrown on top (again, the more the better).
BTW, it's a great way to get rid of the those cheap ass tortilla chips that come in huge bags that people buy for parties. and a big pot of taco soup will feed 4 college guys for at least 2 or 3 days.

Alright, coordination is everything. Most meals are quick if you coordinate them.
Defrost 1/2 lb ground turkey (what I do is buy them in patties and then it's 1/4lb per patty and 2 patties per sealed pack so I just throw one pack into the microwave)
Set a pot with 3/2 cups of water + 1 can cream of mushroom (stir) to boil
Preheat a skillet with a tblsp or two of EVO (Extra virgin olive oil)
Slice half an onion (optional: and like 3 cloves garlic) and cook in the oil at medium-high heat untill they begin to brown)
add meat to grill
When water boils add 1/2 box of small pasta (Macaroni or rotini). Simmer low heat covered
while pasta boils stir ground beef and onion chopping the ground beef into peices.
7 minutes in, set a cup of covered vegtables to cook in the microwave (2 minutes).
In the last minute season meat with basil, oregano, marjoram or whatever.
Combine meat, vegies and pasta and serve with a cool glass of milk. Save half for lunch or share with friend.
Cheap, healthy, easy, good tasting dinner in under 15 min.

Egg Drop Ramen Soup:
When making ramen, crack an egg into the pot after the noodles have been boiling for a minute. Use your fork to spread the egg around. Voila, a more filling meal than regular ramen.

Oh, in case you decide to concern yourself with your health at any point:
Delcious protein smoothie:
1 mini carton Egg Beaters (or other egg white knock off)
2 decent sized bananas
3-4 cups skim milk (or soy, if you want to be even healthier)
2 scoops (to taste) peanut butter
A few ice cubes
Preparation is just one step: blend. :)
Not super-healthy, but pretty decent for you, and definitely filling.

Which one to try tonight? :lick:
Anyone done this one?
Step 1: Open bag of Stouffers Skillet Sensation Chicken Alfredo.
Step 2: Put in skillet over heat
Step 3: Eat
It is around $4, and it is the best brand / flavor I have tried of the frozen-bagged-dinner variety.

but when Ralphs has them on sale for $2.50, plus a $1off coupon, thats when you stock up!

Here it is: The Ultimate Spam Recipe.
1) Slice the spam longwise in 1/4 inch slices, 1/2 if you like it meaty.
2) Pan fry the slices with a small amount of butter or oil, until the edges are browned.
3) In seperate pan, mix equal parts soy sauce and suger. Enough so that when you drop in the slices, they are at least halfway in the sauce.
4) simmer (low-medium heat) until slices are a medium-dark brown and sugar has caramelized. Be sure to flip them if necessary.
5) store in tupperware with extra suace. Helps keep fresh and flavorful.
What you get is an Asian "Sweet & Sour" version of Spam.
Now this is just a base recipe, You can use the slices any way you want. They're always better if you refrigerate them and let them soak in the flavor.
My personal favorite is to grill them, slice 'em, put them on some white rice and teriyaki Sauce over it. straight up Chicken Bowl Stylee.
The best part about it is you can just make alot on one day and store them in your fridge until.......well, whenever.

When I don't feel like cooking or if I don't have time to cook, my man will make a "manly stew".
1 can of condensed mushroom soup
1 can of chedder cheese soup
1 packet of onion soup mix
2 -3 lbs. of beef stew meat , cut into cubes
OR you can add leftover polish sausages, cut into cubes
OR both if you got the appetite lol
He throws em all into a slow cooker, mixing well. Set it to LOW for 8 hours or on HIGH for 4-5 hours. It comes out pretty good actually. He likes it cuz he doesn't have to spend so much time in the kitchen and more time watching the tv or sleeping or doing whatever guys do...lol Enjoy!

My fast and cheap meals:
1) 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites scrambled with a little cheese. Cook the eggs in a skillet. Once the eggs are done split up the scrambled eggs and fill 2-4 soft tortilla shells. Put some Frank's red hot, ketchup, or whatever in the tortilla and eat. It is my favorite fast meal for anytime. :)
2) I also like to take some pastina (very small pasta usually for soup), and cook the pasta. Once the pasta is done drain the water off the pasta and then put the pasta back in the pot that you used to cook it. Take 2 or more eggs and put them in with the hot pasta. Stir the eggs in with the past really well. If you drain the pasta and put the eggs back in with the hot pasta the eggs will cook fully without having to put the pot back on the eye. If you are a little slower then just put the pot back on the eye and put the eye on a low to med-low setting. Once the egg is cooked put the concoction in a bowl and put some romano cheese on it. Very good and very quick. :)
I am sure I have a few others, I'll post again once I think of them. :)

My fast and cheap meals:
1)
I always called them breakfast tacos. Though to "step it up a notch," I'd cook onions with the eggs and add cilantro. Then use heated corn tortillas and shredded cheese. So good.
2)
That's pasta carbonara without the bacon. Just chop cooked bacon or ground up sausage into that meal. What meal can't you improve with a little bacon?
