Linksys is good...I would go with a Switch rather than a Hub...Look at www.Onvia.com (http://www.Onvia.com) ...they have some good deals

what's the advantage of a switch over a regular hub?

the way i understand a switch is that data will go thru ALL ports at the same speed and a hub will share the speed of the incoming signal i am no pro but that would definately be worth more to me

Umm, a switch is for networking, not USB. I believe she's looking for a USB hub.

All USB hubs are pretty much the same. The best deal I know of is a Belkin 4-port for $15.95 at Computer Geeks:

A USB hub is a USB hub. They're virtually all the same, only difference is how many ports and some models have an external power supply while other models draw power from the computer.

Just an advisement for you all - powered USB hubs, those that come with an AC adapter, are so cheap these days there's really no point in shopping for a bus-powered unit. Bus-powered USB hubs cannot handle things like scanners and zip drives, and while you might not have these now don't shoot yourself in the foot now, shop for the future http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif
