I was selling a Sandisk 256mb Secure Digital (SD) Card and and today I accidentaly dropped the hammer on the SD card and it broke. So I tried to end the ebay auction but it said I couldnt end it because it was less than 12 hours... SO I cancelled all the bids saying that " The Item was accidentaly broken... Its no longer available for sale.. Sorry about that "

And I get a interesting email from a buyer after I cancelled his bid saying
" Yeah. When I mispell something and don't get any good bids, I break it too. Then I can re-list it in a couple of weeks when I have my dictionary handy. Secure Digtal or Digital? " I didnt know I even mispped the word Digital.... Why would I even want to cancel because its going low?? It was going for $30 including shipping and handling....

SO I am trying to cancel all the bids and this stupid ass is still bidding on my item after he sending me a nasty email and I cancelled his bid thrice Giving the same reason and he still bids.... He is playing a game with me.. MORON

Yeah.. I would send a pic of the damaged card and see if he still wants to buy it.

Also... post and update to your auction stating that the unit is broken.

EBay doesnt allow to update the auction if the auction ends in less than 12 hrs... It wont even let me end the auction... Ebay is pissing me...

well why don't you contact someone at Ebay and let them know of the situation-then can you add something on the auction stating that the thing is "as is?"..then let the guy who is bugging you have it..hah!

I tried the ebay live help and they told me that I cant do nothing about that and the only way I can cancel the auction is by keep cancelling all the bid that come in... Its just stupid.. And its ebay's rule that you can add or edit stuff in your auction. I cant sell the crap to this guy because he will definietly gonna leave a negative feedback... I am trying to maintain a 100% positive feedback... THis guy has only got 68% positive feedback...

You can ban him from bidding on your auctions.

I tried to cancell as much bids as possible. But still someone won the item.. I told him that the item was broken and How i m trying to cancel bids, He understood that and I gave him a Free Gmail invitation and we exchanged Positive feedback...

What would you guys have done if you were in my position???

I'd take the money and ship him the broke SD card and laugh at him.

also, i HATE ebay, they're getting on my nerves... freaking change of policy to prevent bid cancelling in the last 12 hours is for only one reason: prevent off ebay dealings and make some final value fees. :censored:

what you can do though, is host the item picture not through ebay but through your own hosting such as photobucket. and if you break something, change the picture on your host server to "ITEM BROKE, DO NOT BID." and if some idiots still bid on it then may god have mercy on them...

You could have sent the guy who was bothering you a picture of the broken unit.

I would of got a friend to bid on the item some higher price so that your friend won.

Yes, but 5 bucks is worth advoiding a negative feedback IMO.
(he still had to pay the winner fees anyway)
