Has anyone used Bidpay.com for receiving auction payments? Is it good? I have only used PayPal and PayDirect and a buyer refuses to use anything but Bidpay. Any thoughts?

tehy do that because the fees are much lower (tho occasionally because paypal screwed em.) if you want to use paypal, you could offer to add another 1-2% to your payment to cover the fees, and see if they'll go for it... i haven't used bidpay and won't until its been around a while.

Bidpay has been around as long as I can remember... at least 6-8 years. I've used them/had them used for my auctions many times. Actually a pretty handy little service.

Bidpay has been around as long as Paypal has. I have used them in the past, but Paypal has become more mainstream.

Umm.. a question here.

Did you pre-specify acceptable Auction payment forms? Was BidPay an option? If not... then the buyer should be flexible in paying you under a form that was stated in the contract of winning the auction...

Now if you didn't specify... now you should see why you should. :D

yeah, always make sure you specify what forms of payment you will accept. and make sure when you bid they'll accept your payment (check their feedback too!)

i use paypal. lots easier to use i think. i think bidpay turned me off a few years ago, maybe they were charging fees? i think paypal rips you off too though. luckily i have 2 accounts :)

as far as adding it in the auction, that 3% paypal charges you, i've had auctions cancled for doing that. ebay says you can't have those additional charges. thus my shipping and HANDLING goes up. i make sure S/H will cover shipping to california (across country), the ebay listing fees, and now some paypal fees.
