Is it possible to install it without reinstalling Windows 98SE?

I got some kind of Trojan horse and it really messed up my other computer. I can't even access Windows in Safe Mode. I know that my files are still on the hard drive but I can't access them.

I'd use the System File Checker to check and replace system files one-by-one.

This might help, too: http://www.modem-help.co.uk/help/cab.html

If that's too tedious, do a "dirty install"...

You can also try this: http://www.mdgx.com/98-5.htm#PCRE

I looked at a couple of the sites and most refer to DOS commands. How do I get into DOS? Like I said, I can't even get into Windows to get to the Startup menu.

You can always boot from a floppy into DOS mode. You can get an image of a boot disk from http://www.bootdisk.com

Or, try one of the Ultimate boot CDs (but you have to build these from scratch, so you need a working machine) - http://www.windowsubcd.com/
