Sorry, need it for testing on the next review, which is coming in 2 weeks. I am hoping to maintain the schedule of 1 review per week until I need to really start studying, then go down to maybe 3 per month.

Is this better than the Asus K8Vse Deluxe ??? Its got VIA Kt800 chipset
Nice review. I just got an NForce3 board and I have to say the on-board audio SUCKS compared to NForce2. The soundstorm driver interface was so nice.

I cannot say concretely that it is better since I have not used the KT800. I think that both products are good, but since I have reviewed and know the K8N-E deluxe, I can say its a great board that I would suggest.
Memo, what is really sad is that Soundstorm won't be coming back until maybe after the NF4, even that is not definite. Nvidia said that manufacturers did not see a need for it since most people were fine with onboard sound provided by other solutions. Since I haven't used Soundstorm I didn't feel like I was able to qualify a statement either way.

Nice review.
I wish I have $$$ to replace the Asus K8VSE Deluxe with this board. Do you want to trade? ;)

Soundstorm saves me the cost of buying an Audigy 2. Consumers are idiots if they don't demand it. Unless ofcourse they want to buy redundant Audigy 2's when they don't need to.

There was strong support for it among the community, its just that the reviewers weren't critical enough of on-board sound since they naturally thought that most people preferred their own solutions.
The realtime DD encoding is one thing that will be missed, since there currently isn't another card that can do that and is also widely availible.
