where are the bookmarks saved?

In XP mine appeared to be in:

C:\Documents and Settings\{User Name}\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Anybody know where they're located for IE?

there is a firefox extension that will save your bookmarks in a folder of your choice that can then be backed up. I recommend it.
