The one which which shows the processes running and can be permanently changed. Not the one from Ctrl-ALT-Del. I somehow found it the other day but can't find it now.
There are 56 programs running in the background when I am online and there should only be about 16. I have to manually delete them before I go online or else I have a hard time going from site to site.

I tried that yesterday and nothing pops up. As a matter of fact, nothing pops up no matter what I type in Run. maybe my DOS is corrupted?
There was a definte Startup menu available when I found it the other day.

Start-run- regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
most of the startup apps will be there or here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
If you can't run regedit, you're toast... however you might try CTRL-SHIFT-ESC and end-task on unkown stuff to see if maybe you have some spyware/trojan keeping you from running these apps.
