You should have a break sometime soon with the holidays and stuff... why don't you take a trip out there for a while? You have the money, Mr. BMW!

Honestly, Both Iraq and Iran are two of the places I would love to go to one of these days. I just wish one of these days they would be safer for Americans to go to. :(

Out of curiousity what was it that made you long to go back. I know you have said that your parents are there as are other members of your family, but it sounds like you have spent a large portion of your life in the US rather than Iran. Is it simply that finding persian women is easier or is there something else you miss?

Is it the place or the people? Why not try and get them out to you?

Can I ask what's so great about it? (Other than it being your homeland.) I've never been out of the country.

besides being my homeland and having a bunch of relatives there, the people are VERY hospitible and nice. The country also has a lot of culture and history.

i was reading this
"It's a feeling I know you know. A mixed reminder, bringing both sadness and warmth. You remember what made you who you are and where you came from, and you remember why your life will never have completion. No matter how much at that moment you feel close to home, no matter how many new homes and identities you make for yourself, home will always be a memory, never a reality. "
but the diffrence is that i will make it a reality ;)

and some other stuff... and then pics came along ... then :( you know the rest

i miss the hoooooooooooooooooooooooot girls :(

:( :( on the plus side 5 years left here ;)
but now im being serious here... unlike the persian prick you all love ,,, I would rather live a normal life there than live a life with the best clothes and best cars here.
I cant describe it , many persians dont think like me , eventhough i have only lived there for 5 years. every one is trying to get out of the country because of how it is, and me on the otherhand cant stop thinking about it.
i have no idea why im so like , you know the love for the homeland. eventhough its turned into a ****hole with prostitutes and druggys.
but even then i will take a simple life over there , over a rich and best life over here , any day of the weeek

now back to the p3rsian prick you all love :wavey2:

Isnt it possible that you have an idealized view of what life is like over there? You said you have only lived there for 5 years although I would assume that you have visited there numerous times. The fact that most Iranians want to leave and are trying to in droves would seem like a major red flag to most people. Think of all the freedom that you will give up.

contrary to what it may seem like on the outside, i could argue that theres more freedom there than here.

Care to explain that comment? I know a few Iranians who all felt just the opposite.

It's not mine. I love the nickname though. I don't know the orgin and I paraphrased it poorly. The real phrase is

No matter where you go, there you are

In short it means that you can't run away from your problems. That if your life seems cruddy and you get the shot at a new life, it's not really a new life; you'll find problems. It's you that has to change. Everyone deals with problems but it's how you deal with them that defines how "nice" your life is. I think everyone has a friend who has constant problems caused by themselves.
