I never got my $50 rebate from Symantec. I got a letter from them saying I didn't qualify because the retailer didn't qualify, I purchased it from Frys. When I called they said that I did qualify and disregard the letter. That was 3 months ago and I never got that rebate and I no longer expect it.

I have not had any problems with Symantec rebates- in fact they usually come very quickly. Did you include everything needed? ANd keep a copy to show if problems do come up with it?

They told me to disregard the postcard and that I did qualify. That was months ago and I never got the rebate. I may follow up on it, but it takes a lot of effort on my part and it's hard to find the time.

They should have a fax number where you can send them a copy of what you submitted...

I've done that before and got my rebate expedited...

As a matter of fact, they lost the disk that I sent in this last time I submitted... and I faxed them the scans of what I submitted and they got it processed. :D

I too have had great luck with Symantec rebates. I’ve taken advantage for the FAR deals every year since 2001, and usually on two computers/licenses at two rebates per license. In almost all cases the rebates have actually arrived in 8 weeks or less, as promised. Usually if you’re “persistent” (a.k.a. “a real pain-in-the-a**”), you’ll get your rebate. I’ve even had good luck with less reputable rebate clearing houses just because of “point-of- principle” (a.k.a. “pure stubbornness”).

I got BOTH of my $30 rebates yesterday. It's really tough to beat Symantec rebates.

You'll probably see more FAR deals on Symantec products coming on Black Friday.
