If you guys want to turn this into an MP3 player check out the deals page, there's a cool device for $35 @ buy.com to give you a nice mp3 player.

I did this twice, one for each of my kids (7 & 4). I spend too much time in the car handing them CDs to put on their CD players. I can put all of their music on the JumpDrive and create folders as well.

I have played around with it and it is pretty easy to use. They are going to be getting it for Christmas.

So, for about $70 each they both will have their own MP3 player with 512MB of space.

My order acknowledgement from Dell says delivery no later than January 5, 2005. I don't know how that might affect the rebate but kills the Christmas gift idea.

I got my shipping confirmation today. A very good thing since I cancelled my back-order at buy.com. BTW, in regard to the JumpGear MP3 add-on, Lexar’s site states “Upgrade your JumpDrive Sport: 128mb, 256mb, or 512mb,” with no mention of compatibility to the 1GB Sport.

So I talked to “Siddarth” at Lexar and he assured me that you would be able to use the full 1GB capacity of the JumpDrive Sport with the JumpGear MP3 cap.
