Picked up a brand spanking new Dell 8600 from ebay for a great price (I'd be surprised if the seller made $50). Gotta love the glut the Dell coupon caused.

Came with 128MB Radeon 9600, WSXGA+ along with all the regular goodies.

Boy is this thing nice. Sleek, quiet and quick. Quite an improvement over my P3 800 with 256MB RAM.

$850 (+shipping).

1.5 Centrino, 40GB HD, Intel 2200 wireless, 512MB RAM. Sealed box!

That's the exact config I have -- but I have a 60GB hard drive (slow as balls)...

I can't wait to get my RAM up to 768MB, because 256MB is the bottleneck instead of the Radeon 9600.

Thanks...it's the baby. I think the laptop was a little more because of the video upgrade. All in all, a deal I'm happy with.

I just got the same laptop, but I have the 64MB Nvidia. No big deal, I use it for work, not gaming.

I got the WUXGA (1920x1200) display. I want as much screen real estate as I can get.

I'm finding the keyboard takes a bit of getting used to. It seems like the key spacing is different than what I'm used to.

I thought about the WUXGA but wound up "settling" for the WSXGA+ 1680 x 1050. Must have bid on about a dozen on ebay before hitting this one, so no complaints here.

The WUXGA is REALLY tiny and takes some getting used to. It's hard to use while sitting back on the couch, but ok when sitting at a desk. BTW, mine cost about $1200, so you got a great deal.
