Wow...just wow...

on the upside, that's a really impressive piece of software if they allow all that customizations. sweet!

plus I just saw the incredibles, so I'm kinda pumped up on super heroes :)

Not yet...

The Special Edition DVD wasn't set to release until Nov 9th... and as you know, the mail didn't run on Nov 11th, thus it was ship delayed until the 12th...

Pretty much, I expect to have it later this week. :D

City of heroes was fun, for a while. The character creation was amazing! and it was fun with all the powers, but i just got bored of it. Same thing over and over. And then i got into WoW too so that didn't help any.

Funny costumes though heh.

I finally got the game today....

Whoo whee... I've spent the last 5 hours leveling up to Level 5. :D

I play on Justice server...

Here is my now Level 7 character... "DarkFury." (of course someone got the DarkFury name before me... so I had to add a period on the end. SUCKAGE!!! )

Basically, he's a "Magic Scrapper with Dark Melee and Dark Armor".... I'M LOVING THIS GAME!!! :D

Dude....wish you had gotten on the Protector server.

I'm here with a lvl 30 fire/fire blaster and I could have pwer lvled you all the way up to whatever you wanted....:)

And yes....I love this game. :)

Edit: Oh....and by the way....if I could win that vid card...I would dress up too.

I'm gonna try to play all the time after 10:00 p.m. EST... (after DFJ goes to bed...) and on weekends throughout the day.

And I might be able to play earlier... especially when "TV repeats" are on and DFJ ain't drawin' my attention. :D

Man.. I am truly lovin' this game...

Up to Level 10 now... but dayuum, last night proved how weak my character still is. Yeah... I can act all tough around the common "Hollows" thugs... but last night I got my first taste of some of the other "villains/creatures" in the game... including the Engery/Electricity Blasters and the "Pummace" rock creatures...

Man... they tore me a new (and wide) one... I ain't NEVER had so many trips to the hospital in one night. I was so glad that I finally made it to 10 last night so that I could get my "Murky Cloud" energy/fire/ice shield to somewhat protect me. :D

I shudder to thing what the "Circle of Thorns" (Magic) guys would do to me.... as I don't have an "Obsidian Shield" to block their damage.

Just wait until you get a peak at the Freakshow. They aren't so nice at all. The Tsoo aren't too bad...but to sorcerers are kinda horrible. The 5th column have gotten worse...but they still aren't that bad. Sky Raiders are kinda hard. But I still think that the Freakshow are the worse. But then....I haven't fought the fake nemisis or any higher uppers.

Is it dorky to play video games? :shrug: I ain't participating in the costume contest... I'm just playing the game. (I coulda started a new thread to talk about the game.. .but I was like "why bother"... )

So what exactly are the "FreakShow"? And what level are they?

The story behind the freakshow are they are people who have cybernetics implanted in them and also replacing some of their limbs and stuff. They are a pain in the butt to fight...especially the Tanks. They hit HARD....and that's not so good for a squishy blaster like myself. Some of them rez a few seconds after you kill them so if you're not paying attention, they will hit you from behind.

I might have to make a character on the Justice server to play with you sometime DF. :) Maybe I'll roll a controler.

Ya that was fun, sorry about the deaths though. I'm used to being invincible with my other character so I tend to jump the gun :P

Well....I'll bet there as soon as I can boys. :) I'm at a friend's house for Thanksgiving and won't be home until tomorrow.

I still think ya'll should join up on Protector...it's a great server. And like I said...I have no qualms about Powerleveling ya'll. :)

I'm a lvl 31 Tech Blaster. The +1 minions I can kill with my alpha strike of a fireball + firebreath combo. So yeah...it would go quickly for you....:)

Up to Level 15 now... and I've now gotten hooked on Dual Origin Enhancements...

Boy, I'm going BROKE in this game... Even after being given like 200K in inspirations from a Lvl 50 character, I spent that amount like it was nothing... but for awhile, my character sure is a scrappin' juggernaught. :D

sounds like you're having fun! good to hear. I'd join ya if i didn't have WoW. I played COH up to about lvl 30, had an ICE/Devices blaster with flight powers... it was fun. I really like flying.

Had another guy with teleportation that was fun but strange sometimes.

I was always broke, always more enhancements to buy lol.

If you had a problem with Inf, from 30 - on it's not problem at all. I have so much Inf it's coming out of my eyes. :)

I just hit lvl 32 with my fire/fire blaster. I just got Inferno....it is...teh awesome!

the only problem with the game was that i got bored. It just seemed like the same things over and over with different guys. Go to warehouse, clear it out, go to cave, clear it out. fly around the city, kill X amount of Y annoying guys who you can't seem to find :P

The char creation was amazing and the game was really easy to learn and play. When i first started i had a power punch thing and just kept hitting guys off buildings, it was so amusing! I think the game was well put together, just lacking a little bit. I understand why there are no items really besides enchancements and ins but it just feels like its missing something.

I need to stop reading this thread, all this COH talk is making me want to play it again.. or at least play around with the char creation again. Though i barely have enough time for WoW, let alone 2 MMO's

Honestly, the simplicity is it's beauty... to me.

I personally am a "short attention span" player... the long drawn out stuff just tires me out... and I don't really have enough time to really take on the long complicated missions like other MMORPGs have...

I just love to smash and bash I guess... just like I did in Diablo 2 (and this game somewhat reminds me of that one to a degree...)

I also like the community interaction as well... meeting up with friends and such and doing missions or "street sweeping".

Now... when City of Villians comes out, there will be PvP... and let the games begin (again). :wow:
