What was the best part of your weekend? The worst?
High...seeing Bray's face when he got his new bike.
Low...missing B's birthday party at the in-laws.

High - Watching HS football friday night where my nephew scored a touchdown off a fumble.
Low - After painting house all weekend, I end up driving 45 miles to the inlaws to fix their toilet.

Hi: having dinner with my wife in a private room at a turkish resturant where you sit on the floor and have these big pillows and eat from a small table. really neat.
Low: realizing that a all my burned DVDs are rapidly dying for some reason.

High: meeting my first person from off the internet, and giving him a big :kiss:
Low: getting a prank email which made me think a friend was really in trouble, and he was just joking :(

High: Put in a hell of a workout on Sat. morning that just made me feel good the whole two days.
Low: Man did the temp drop pretty fast.
On the whole an outstanding weekend.

High: Taking my daughters to their first Chicago Bulls game
Low: Accidentally bumping my hall table into the wall and gashing the plaster for the third time. (Time to move the table or get rubber feet for it. :) )

high: todai on saturday + watching incredibles on sunday
low: my attempt to cook chicken resulted in horrible results.. :(
High: Receiving an apparent "seal of approval" from THO's parents.
Low: We're both coming down with something.

High: No work! Saw a movie & ate at a good resturant
Low: Slicing the tip of my thumb with a really sharp knife while cutting apples. Took me a half hour to stop the bleeding.
Lower: The next day while replacing some shingles on the roof I hit the bad thumb with the hammer. Started bleeding all over again. :|

High - Beer tasting party on Saturday. Tested 23 different beers including Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Marzen (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/rate_results/263/727/) and the Westvleteren Blonde (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/rate_results/313/1808/) and ate excellent Brats from 11 am - 5pm. Cost me only $7!
Low - I ate too much for dinner later that night and it upset my stomach...

High - Getting Josh's friend all the way through a sleepover, for the first time in a year

HIGH: two kids' worth of antibiotics and one kid's worth of new anti-ocd medication = three really, really miserable kids turned into three really fabulously happy kids (and one of em's even well-behaved...)
LOW: ummm... lord, i'm so happy about everyone being healthy that i can't come up with anything to bitch about...

you can get bottles here in the US. But I had it on tap! Sweet Lord it was amazing. Smokey bacon flavors up the yin yang. Definately one of the highlights of my month. That beer is an orgasm in a bottle.
It makes me happy to see that someone here recognizes great beer when they see it. You still homebrewing WL?

High: Went with a bunch of friends to a taping of MadTV, afterwards headed off to LA and had dinner.
Low: Had to SIT through the taping of MadTV. Got lost afterwards on our way to LA. Did nothing else productive this weekend.
Lower: Wanted to go catch a movie with someone but she had to go to her cousins funeral... (partially the funeral, partially the fact that she was busy)

It makes me happy to see that someone here recognizes great beer when they see it. You still homebrewing WL?
yeah, not fast enough to meet deman around here, tho... got a batch of apple (from the backyard tree, REALLY good apples) oatmeal brown ale that we just need to get around to bottling... and got some pumpkins from the garden that are going into an ale... i like to keep it really light on the spices, barely detectable, so the pumpkin itself is what you really taste, not some soggy nutmeg clove flavor...
