View Full Version : S: Stupid EBay Bidders!
Gah! I hate dumb people on EBay. I'm trying to bid on an item and people keep jacking the price up close to retail. WTF is the point of buying off EBay if you don't save any money?!?!

You could try bidding up in the last few seconds to avoid the added anticipation/excitement of watching something get over bid.

It's called people bidding so they don't lose. They rather win than save money...
I remember my roommate was looking for a camera flash, and he found an ebay listing that was won for like $50-100 more than retail. No extras, upgrades, etc. Just a used flash. He emailed the winners/bidders and never got a good response.
The best thing to do is to not bid and buy it wherever it's cheapest, even if that means at a store. Think of it this way, if it's more expensive on eBay than in a store, clearly you'll buy it at a reputable store where you can return it if needed. Unless it is an item that you can't find at any stores, I wouldn't stress about it.
People were paying $15 over store value of video game systems close to Christmas last time, when there were plenty of systems in stock at all stores. Uneducated consumers mostly.

Good old competiton. its why you sell your used dream cast on ebay for like 100 bucks. i like made money after having used it for a few months.

This kind of bidder is good for the seller though... :D
