So...my wife calls EBGames and asks for me "When will a pre-order for Need For Speed Underground 2 be available for pick-up?"
"Oh! Well, that's available to pick-up tonight!" he says.
So I drive my ass all the way to the f'ing EBGames store and pick-up my pre-order by giving him my name and phone number. He reads my file and drops a copy of the game into my bag.
I get all the way home and find out that the bastid gave me the f'ing PS2 copy. Ass!
So...I drive my ass all the f'ing way back over to trade it in for the GameCube copy...that IS LISTED IN THE FILE. He goes..."Ooops...my bad. The GameCube copy isn't available until tomorrow."
Right now I'm pretty pissed.................

Honestly, I didn't see where you specified "Game Cube" over the phone... which is mostly what the KIDS play. He probably just assumed that you had a PS2.
I see where you are coming from, but based on what you posted, it seems like he made an honest mistake... even though he probably shoulda check to confirm it. :D
More or less... it's kinda weird that different versions of the game come out one day after another.

Well DF, when they give you your preorder copy the check it in with the version you preordered. So if he preordered the gc copy, the guy should of seen that when he checked his preorder.
It is dumb that the gc version isn't available for pickup tomorrow. If that is true then the damn clerk should of said the ps2 version tonite, the gc and xbox versoin tomorrow or whatever. The clerk is at fault twice. I would be pissed to.

All I was saying was "benefit of the doubt" for an honest mistake...
Yes... people do make those from time to time. :D

i did that too once...and really i don't think it's his fault. You should have specified what console and checked the copy...
