Hi, long time reader of the forums but a first time poster!
I've had a look and can't see if this has been posted anywhere, apologies if it has!
Probably like most people I use MSN Messenger a fair bit. Firefox is my default browser but when I click 'No new email messages' in Messenger it only ever brings up Internet Explorer. I hate using IE but also dont like having to go to www.hotmail.com then signing in to hotmail manually on Firefox. Anyone have any ideas how I can make it come up in Firefox when I click to read my emails in MSN? Thanks in advance!

Maybe that link forces IE to open, since MSN is a microsoft product. I couldn't figure out how to make firefox open from that link either.

I use msn quite a bit also!!!
I have yet to find a way to prevent it to open IE.
I have gotten the little address bar in the task bar on the bottom to open in firefox...but no luck with msn yet! SOON...I WILL TWEEK IT!!!

Cheers for trying. I thought it would have a lot to do with MSN being Microsoft, just wondered if anyone knew a way around it. Will just have to keep logging in and typing my password in Firefox, I can't stand IE.
Well, there is a way if you feel like installing some plugins. First you'll need to get msgplus (http://www.msgplus.net) and then StuffPlug-NG (http://www.stuffplug.com/).
Install msgplus first, and make sure you choose to refuse the sponsor program, it's disguised as a license agreement. So take your time and don’t rush through the install. Then install Stuffplug-NG.
To configure Stuffplug NG you'll need to go into the plus! preferences. Once in preferences go to the Plugins tab, click StuffPlug-NG then configure and set hotmail to open in default browser.
Also, why you're in the plus! preferences, under the contact list tab you can remove the advertisement banner. You also might want to configure the logging options, unless you like your IMs recorded
