Five Arrested In Turkey-Hurl Incident
Five Long Island teenagers were arrested after they allegedly hurled a frozen turkey through a woman's car windshield.
One of the five, Ryan Cushing, 18, of Huntington, N.Y., was responsible for throwing the turkey, Suffolk County police said. He was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, forgery, criminal mischief and criminal possession of stolen property.
He and the other teens allegedly stole a credit card to buy the turkey at a Ronkonkoma supermarket.
The other four teens were charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
They were Jack Cutrone, 18; Steven Manzolina, 17; Amanda McDonald, 17 -- all of Selden, N.Y. -- and Rachel MacDonald, 17, of Centereach, N.Y.
Police said Cushing threw the turkey from a car he and the other teens were driving in on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma Saturday. It smashed through the car window of a woman who was driving past in the other direction.
The woman, who is 44 and lives in Lake Ronkonkoma, was in critical condition at Stony Brook University Hospital.
