View Full Version : Cascade Sound Dampening in my case..pics

I just built a computer to OC my 2.4C on an Abit IS7. The chipset fan on this little bugger spins at 6200 rpms!

Anyway, I was kinda curious what automotive sound dampening (Cascade V2) would do. So, I lined my case bottom, and side and top panels and with it.

Keep an eye on the temps inside your case....

That stuff is a good insulator as well as sound dampener.... and things might get pretty HOT if you don't have sufficient cooling in place.

Good advice. I let my fans take care of heat. OCed CPU idle is about 40C and full load is about 56C. Case temps are seldom more than 10C over ambient, so I know they are doing their job. I got a great case for overclocking.
