help me out here... am i just too old, such that i just don't "get it?"

because it seems to me that over the last two years or so, more and more of victoria's secret stuff is starting to look cheaper than walmart's bargain bin. bad color choices, odd and unflattering fits, and just all-around cheap looking.

i guess i'm referring more to the clothes, and especially the pajamas, than the undies.

their nicer clothes are okay... but man, every year they have several pages worth of TURTLENECK SWEATERS. ummm, yeah. nothing says oooo, baby, i wanna f*** like 20 lbs of scratchy, fuzzy, bulky crap from your neck to your knees...

maybe its just me.. sometimes.. girls don't like wearing sexy things.... so i guess their trying to cater to everyones taste (or at least try to) because their market is sleep wear....

I wouldn't mind if my gf wore the top one.. i'll still think she's cute in it

I went in there recently to try to by something for my g/f and all the **** was ugly. They had a huge selection of pearl-on-the-ass thongs though which I thought were ugly.

Yep....its just you. :hihi: Actually my wife has been complaining about all of VS offerings for a bit now. She used to buy almost all of her undergarmets there, but recently hasnt been finding anything that looks good and/or are in her size.

eww. nothin like a yellow bow with pink polka dots to say "f*** me daddy." :puke: and for f***s sake, how hard is it to airbrush a frekin tanline away? if they can airbrush tyra banks up by two cup sizes...

i still like their underwear, but really... their loungewear is the pits lately.

just because it's un-sexy doesn't mean it has to look cheap and crappy... for example, here is some of their un-sexy stuff that i like a lot...

That's what I'm talkinga bout! All they had were thongs with stupid things stuck on the ass like 'pearls' and the kind of cheesy **** you'd find on a charm bracelet. I can't imagine that'd be comfortable when sitting down or up against something.

I always thought they have pretty bad patterns for their underwear, little flowers or weird stripes - they all seem too grandma-underweary to me

...but the solid pieces are still cute (and nothing beats the free panty offers ;) )

agreed. i wanted to get some boyshorts and their selection was crap. bad patterns, plus way too many "word" designs like a few that said the words 'pink' or VS all over them. i guess they want us to be walking (laying?) ads. cheesy.

I can't agree with you more. Mrs. Kevster and I were in Vicky's a couple weeks ago and most of what they had was just crap. Their quality hasn't always been the best, either.

This is one of the reasons why Mrs. Kevster goes to a place here in Los Angeles called Trashy Lingerie. It is membership only, and despite it's "unique" name, it has things that are far from trashy. It is mostly all handmade by the women on the premesis and tailored to fit. They have quite a selection too!

i think lately VS has really gone down quality wise... their stuff falls apart and i'm not just talking about their lingerie

if you're looking for something with a little more quality and sexiness than VS, i'd recommend La Perla - it is a little pricey, but its definitely worth it! i've heard of Trashy Lingerie too!!!!! i'm soooo jealous of mrs. kev~!!! :neartears

yeah, i buy the underwear when it's 5 pair for $25 or $20, which they do like 2ce a year... it falls apart after about 2-3 years, but at $4-5 a pop, i don't mind.

the bras... i have very narrow shoulders, so i have to wear a racerback unless i want to spend all day hiking my damned bra straps back up. that limits my choices severely. i basically have ONE bra that i like, and when VS stops making it, i'm going to be pissed. it's regularly $38, so i usually wait for them to put oddball colors on clearance... had to pay full price for the flesh-tone one, but the other three i paid like $19.50 each for.

sounds like you shop like my fiance. she stocks up on bras and underwear that she likes when they're on sale. one time she had me picking through the sale bins at VS with specific instructions on which style and size she is looking for. it was kind of humiliating as a man, but at the same time I actually felt justified being at VS for the first time. usually if I walked through there with her I was looking at all the sexy stuff like a perv, but this time I was doing a job with no horniness involved.
