Relationships with your bosses

Okay just randomly today, One of the other interns at the place I work says,

"Hey did you get the e-mail I sent you about <our VP of Engineering>"

So this is a pretty cool guy (the vp) and honestly though, I've been kinda cutting back a lot for work because of school so i'm getting all scared and nervous about this e-mail of which I have not yet read.

I check my e-mail and it says,

"<insert boss' name here> wants your XBOX live information so he can play halo 2 with you"

Can I just say right now.... I love my work and my boss :-D

You should tell him you had to shut it off because you couldn't afford it. Maybe he'll give you a raise then :)

haha reminds me of my old boss. We would play Call of Duty, UT2k4, Soldier of fortune, C&C Generals, all sorts of games. usually would play after 5, but sometimes early. he even bought us all super sweet top of the line game machines! (we were the IT guys so we could justify it :))

my boss is great too. we don't play video games often, but one time he decided to play some new game he had on his laptop, except his laptop was hooked up to the projector and showing everything on the screen. we all got a kick out it and wasted about half an hour while everyone took a shot at the game.

That's cool... very cool. I've had some good bosses in the past that were just great, but unfortunately my "career" boss isn't like that at all. We get to have no fun whatsoever... major suckage.
