Is there something that I am missing here????

As soon as we choose the "Customize" Button, price for the Laptop changes from advertized $599 to $849. Is there a trick here or is it Dell's Advt attraction????

Can someone please explain why the price is changing .........

Thanks

Is there something that I am missing here????Yes, your missing the rebate and instant saving. Here is a quote from the first page, "After $150 Instant Savings and $100 Mail-in Rebate" After you put it in your cart and checkout, you should get the $150 instant savings at the final screen, then you have to apply for the $100 rebate.

Still there, but up to $599 now ($749 - $150 instant rebate) - no MIR!

If that link doesn't work, try going to Dell.com, click Small Business, click Notebooks, then look on the left side of the screen under 'Featured Systems' for the Inspiron 1000.
