Finally had to put her to sleep forever

Today is a very sad day for me. We had to put down the family dog last night after a long battle with cancer. She taught me a real lesson about attitude during the most difficult of times. She never lost her enthusiasm or trust and love for us even at the very end. She was a TRUE FRIEND!

Sorry to hear about that . . . I had to put my 17 year old pooch to sleep in July. Still have dreams about her . . . always nice ones . . . so it's kind of like she's still around sometimes. Still miss the girl, but it was definitely the best thing to do to put her to sleep - it was tough - but it was the right thing.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. It's always hard to lose a family pet. But remember that she will always be with you in your heart.

I never knew how much you could love an animal till it actually loved you back. I had cats growing up and they weren't very friendly, but after 3 months with Athena (http://filebox.vt.edu/users/kedooley/images/roommates/athena.JPG), our lovable 70 pound pitbull mix, I missed her over my 3 day trip... I'm sorry for your loss, and I can understand your sadness.

Tell me about it. Pets rule. My kitty always is so happy to see me when I am gone for like 2-3 days or longer. ANd my High School cat who lives with my parents use to wait for me when I would walk home from HS. She would be perched on the fence or Garbage can and run to me when she saw me.

Sorry for your loss man. It hurts.
