Sigh...my dryer broke this morning. So I had to decide to keep my BF $200 17 inch LCD monitor or pay toward a dryer. So I returned the monitor. Then I come home and in the mail I get jury duty. I report on December 27th. Ugh...I scheduled my vacation between Xmas and New Years. If it's a short trial it be a day. If longer I'll be spending my vacation on the jury. I wonder if move my vacation day up sooner and use that day or week as jury days.

I dunno, can you really be impartial if the trial is happening during your vacation...I mean, can you really be expected to decide someone's fate? ;)

Can't you postpone your Jury Duty? In California, you can can postpone it once because of situations like this, or if you have a work project that you can't get out of. Otherwise, the odds are low that a large trial will start right then because the courts are usually closed for lots of days during the holiday season, they don't want to be there either. Good luck
