Can you, without google, name the Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus & Species of humans?

Genus - Simean? Primate?
species - homosapien (homoscapien?)
wrong on all counts, though you are only off in spelling/language for the first one.

I know one of them is "mamailia" (mammals for the rest of us)
another is "pimate"
another I think in "hominid"
Lets try (using zen's to build on):
Kingdom - animal
Phylum - vertibrate
Class - mamalia
Order - primate
Family - hominid
Genus - ?
Species - homo sapien
Do I get points for being close?

Oh Christ BI, calling Animal wrong because its supposed to be Animalia is getting a little picky, dontcha think?
And its a trick question. We are a member of a subphylum, which you never mentioned, which throws things off.

simmer down buckshot. . .i said you only missed it in spelling/language. and dsuds thread i said it was right when he was clearly using your list.
how does the subphylum throw things off?
for the record, the only one i got right when asked this question was the kingdom, though i maintain they've changed it since i was in highschool.

how does the subphylum throw things off?Not all species have a subphylum classication, and in your initial question list you didn't mention the existence of one for us. As it turns out, my guess for our phylum is actually our subphylum. So I should get half credit at least :P

Back in the 7th grade when I first learned this, I could have recited it with no problem thanks to my very competant science teacher Mrs. Amara.
Unfortunately, that information was accidentally deleted after a weekend party during my undergraduate college years.

kindom=animal
phylum=vertebretes
class=mammals
order=primate
family=mankind
genus=homo
species=sapiens
It's not the scientific names but I think a science teacher would except them.

maybe close enough for horse shoes or hand grenades, but the two marked are just plain wrong.
besides, i likes me some crack. with just one or two crackrocks i can get my whole yard mowed. ;)
