Just to clarify: DC games can be downloaded and burned, but they cannot be copied. A special cable is required to actually rip the data from the GD-ROM (game disc), but once it's extracted it can be burned and burned copies themselves can be copied.

anyone know a good place to download dreamcast games? there are a few at suprnova, but not enough to really make it worth it...

EDIT: worth it schmorth it. i just got the console, 3 extra controllers and a memory card for $30.02, shipping and tax inclusive. i think i can find enouhg games to make it worth it :D

question for those in the know... it appears that the dreamcast games are on cd media, not dvd media, correct?

You are correct welfareloser; DC games are on CD media. Many will even be smaller than 700MB. There are also plenty of sites out there with tutorials and instructions on how to burn different game images.

Another great thing about the Dreamcast: older system emulators. I'm talking about NES, SNES and hopefully soon at some point the Genesis. Here's a great site for getting and setting up the emulator discs http://dcfactory.cjb.net/. You're on your own for finding the game ROMS though. I can attest they're not that hard to find; I have ROMS of about every NES and SNES (American released) game out there. I've had friends call in sick to work to play the whole Mega Man series in one day! Now go make those $17 worth it!

Dreamcast does not need to be modded but has to be burned with either pradus diskjuggler or nero burning rom correct? or has this change...

anyways its a good deal either way i have a brand new sealed dreamcast from back in the day...but i have heard some Dreamcast cant played the burn games especially the later made ones...

USPS said they delivered it Friday but I was here all day and it never came. I sent Ebgames an email to look into it. I wish they'd ship Super Saver stuff to P.O. Boxes so I wouldn't have to deal with the slight chance of someone snatching it from my front door. Oh well, it's their problem if it happened.
