Holy Moley!
A friend of mine has a wonderful job on base. She is the Chief's assistant. One of her duties is to ration out tickets given to the base. Each group are alloted a certain percentage based on manning.
Tonight, the base was given tickets left over from a local radio station's toy drive. 95.5 did a "toys for tickets" concert-- you donate toys and you get a concert. You just don't know who is playing. Maybe 300-500 in attendance.
We found out it was Toby Kieth -- SWEET! But then, Night Ranger and Tommy Shaw came out -- It was such a flash back! I have seen them perform before, but never in such an intimate setting! To close the show, Lonestar showed up and played a couple songs and Charlie pride came out :)
In the end they all jammed and it was good. Very good. I wish I had taken my camera. Most concerts anymore you can't get a camera into. Nope, not this one, cameras were welcomed. There I was right there at the stage and all I had on me was my 2x camera on my cell phone! but I got pictures!!!
I am so tired! But it was great!
