I'm excited about this.

Basically, 2 out of 4 people tested were able to move a cursor with their mind. Cool stuff :)

Imagine getting rid of your mouse and keyboard in the future and just thinking of where you want the cursor to go, and much later down the road, thinking of what you want to write and having it typed... wow...

I don't want to be a "Professor X".

this was on the cover of the LA Times today and they did an interview with the researchers on NPR today. pretty cool stuff. it would be awesome for paralyzed people or for highly functional prosthetic limbs.

You forget to mention that you have to wear "a cap with 64 nodes"...the last thing you need is to be hard-wired to your PC! Just watch out! Somebody is going to come up with a computer virus that backfires the nodes and fries your brain....

If you read the article, you'd know that the cap is wireless. True that it's still on you, but your movement is not limited.

No..I didn't know it was wireless. I just remember seeing something on NOVA a couple years back where they wired parapalegics up to computers and had them practice moving a cursor around a screen. Pretty cool idea...still...I though my joke was funny...:heh:
