A friend of mine (yes, a real friend) wants to get a webcam so her family can see her baby. What is one of the better one's out there?

I really like my Logitech Quickcam Orbit--a little spendy but I got a pretty good deal on mine. Here's a pretty good review (http://www20.tomshardware.com/consumer/20040910/index.html) of several webcams, including the Orbit.

I bought this one (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=30-108-113&depa=0) through an ebay refurb seller for about $50 a few months ago.

It's awesome, and I can use it on my desktop or notebook. Here (http://www.epinions.com/pr-Webcams_Logitech_Quickcam_for_Notebooks_Pro_Webcam_961240_0403/display_~reviews) are some epinions.com reviews.

I've been using Creative NX Pro for a long time. Never have any problem with MSN Messenger. Right there you can grab it for $30 AR shipped by Amazon.

Logitech is the way to go. Had mine for 2 years and its still working really well. The orbit from logitech isn't bad but its just spendy. If money isn't a problem then I would suggest the Logitech orbit.

Yeah, I wouldn't have sprung for it either if it was in the $100 range but I got mine awhile back for around $60 after rebates...
