Our new kitty

We named him (we think it's a him. will find out I'm guessing for sure when we take him to the vet this week) Silver Bell. :)

We got him from the animal shelter. So absolutely tiny and skinny. Young, too, we think probably 4-6 weeks old. :)

Cute kitten! Although what is with the DVD label on the first picture? As for telling the sex, with cats you do it by lifting up the tail, there are different structures (and no I am not just talking equipment here) to look for which tell you the sex.

Well glad that he loves the new kitten. As for the structures.....I dont think I can clearly explain it, plus I think if I tried I would end up banned. Here is a quick blurb and you can probably understand why I am not going to do my own explanation. :hihi:

Reproduction - Sexing a Cat or Kittens
It can be difficult to tell the difference in male and female kittens. They are sometimes described as the male looking like a : (colon) and the female looking like an upside down exclamation mark.

Usually there is a bigger space between the anus and genital area in a male kitten - the space where the testicles will grow. It may be possible to feel small testicles in male kittens.

umm, no. lol the camera was point up as the kitten was looking down over the edge of the desk. so the dvd burner is in the top of my computer (the burner is beige, the computer is black), and that is an svideo cable that you see looped above it. lol

thanks for the explanation of the cat. ;) I'm pretty sure he's a boy. lol guess we'll find out tomorrow at the vet.

and *sigh* we thought he had fleas but sure enough, saw one earlier. So now gotta treat all 3 cats and not sure what to do about the house...

About the fleas, how do you know they have them? Are they all over the country, or only specific areas?

Oh, I dunno about all over but I know they are in Oklahoma & Kansas. lol

I saw one running around his face, so I know he has em and I'm sure our other cats have em now from him. bleh.
