So the other night a friend and I opened a 3 liter bottle of Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale from Stone Brewing (http://www.arrogantbastard.com/doublebastard/2004/oaked.html). It's a 7.2% ABV beer with lots of hoppy sweet flavor. 3 Liters is a little more than 6 pints. This special version of Arrogant Bastard was aged over oak for 6 months and man was it smooth and tasty. After 3 pints I was nice and warm.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try a unique beer. (Note: DF, you won't like it since it is bitter. But IMHO it's bitter in a very good way.) It was well worth the $60. Probably half of that price is the cool bottle. The bottle is huge and has a little padlock that keeps it closed. It's a nice look but obviously doesn't change the taste of the beer.

I was drinking the Arrogant Bastard Ale on Halloween. The bottles (don't remeber which size, but they were good-sized) were $1.99 each. I liked that stuff the first time I tried it at the microbrew festival.

you probably had a bomber (22 oz) since they only make it in kegs, 3L, and 22 oz bottles. damn good stuff indeed. and oaked it is even better. very mellow, creamy, and velvety when oaked. not as pungent and sharp as the original stuff. i love them both.

Damn, I saw that at BevMo the other day and was thinking if only I could drink anymore. Now I am truly missing my ability to drink the alcoholic beverages.
