So the other night a friend and I opened a 3 liter bottle of Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale from Stone Brewing (http://www.arrogantbastard.com/doublebastard/2004/oaked.html). It's a 7.2% ABV beer with lots of hoppy sweet flavor. 3 Liters is a little more than 6 pints. This special version of Arrogant Bastard was aged over oak for 6 months and man was it smooth and tasty. After 3 pints I was nice and warm.
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try a unique beer. (Note: DF, you won't like it since it is bitter. But IMHO it's bitter in a very good way.) It was well worth the $60. Probably half of that price is the cool bottle. The bottle is huge and has a little padlock that keeps it closed. It's a nice look but obviously doesn't change the taste of the beer.
