NSS: Running into a G|A member randomly

So I put down World of Warcraft for 10 minutes to get a few rounds of Counterstrike:Source in, and there's this guy on the other team with the name Cheesypuff.

So out of the blue I ask him if he's the same Cheesy from Gotapex, and it is!!

There are 3000 servers, and we happened to pick the same one... good times :)

Ever encountered another member elsewhere online?

Edit: So yeah I didn't mean this thread is pointless, just that my response totally misses the point. And thanks for answering my question about who's doing better. That is cool to meet someone in a non-G|A context, and no I haven't.

The point is that it's pretty cool to run into someone that's a regular here at another place, just luck of the draw. Cheesy is doing a lot better than me :P

no i haven't met any G|A member randomly online cuz i rarely talk to people outside the forums and don't play online games. :(

i have never met anyone randomly like that from online. i have met someone on another board that i knew from a board we both had posted on.
i actually saw some provocative pics of her on this other board, and she was using the same username so i recognized her and then i just had to PM her and compliment her on the great pics.

I had a neat run-in like that too, but in real life. I went to the Guinness Believer's Event in SF. Sit down at a table and introduce myself to the group. Turns out that the guy who got the tickets for them found it through this site. Was funny we both found it out by G|A. Though he was a lurker so he never had a screen name.

I had a friend in college that was a big paintball fan. I saw a posting from a guy who's screen name matched my friends first initial and last name. I checked the location, and it was his home town. I searched his other posts, and found several related to paintball!

I PMed him and we exchanged a few emails catching up. Of course, now we have lost track of each other again.
