Got this from a friend so I do not know if the link is some sort of referral link or not, but open a Citibank account and get a free iPod Mini.

they've been advertising the deal on Yahoo. I think it's legit but you have to read the fine print. I think you need a minimum of $2500 in you account and have it open for a year but you get the iPod mini after 3 months.

So if I just open an account with them and hold $2500 in it for a year, I get an Ipod? Are they going to make $240 worth of interest in 12 months?

They probably will. Credit card companies are really shady. You slip up on another credit card, miss a payment on theirs, anything to give them a reason to jack up your interest rate, and they will.

i saw this citibank offer -- it's a pretty good deal, if you have some extra money around.
as mentioned above, you need:
1.) an account with $2,500
2.) the account must remain open for at least one year
also:
3.) pay 2 bills a month for 12 months
i did this back in 2001 when they were giving away a palm pilot for a similar offer (although i only had to pay 2 bills and keep the account for 3 months or 6 months....i can't remember which).
regardless, citi is a good solid company, you'll get your stuff, and it's they're good to work with.
