Okay with all of these free palm/visor deals with banks, anyone know of the possibility of going to a staples or anywhere to upgrade it to a IIIxe or visor with 8MB? My sister wants one for cheap but needs 8MB of memory. I can always try to eflea it away first but. . . rather not go through that much trouble. Anyhow any suggestions?

BTW, I don't feel like opening it up and switching the ram chip.

I tried calling CompUSA cause I noticed that they carried the Palm IIIe and the Visor Deluxe. I told the customer rep that I got it as a gift and it was still in the box and that I wanted to pay difference and exchange for the Visor. He put me on hold and after 15 minutes, I just hung up. Just sell it on Ebay or something and then use that money towards some other PDA with 8 megs.

there are places that will perform the upgrade of opening up the palm and replacing the chips for u....

check here and look under "Palm Upgrade Services" (it's pricey, though):

I can do it myself but I really rather just go in a do quick exchange. Oh well, guess its time to call around.
