i still need to figure out if i'm going to wrap the wine fridge i bought for my parents. and if so, how? my fiancee bought a big bow to go on top and said leave it at that, but i think i'll still give a go at wrapping it even if i fail.

You could try putting wrapping paper on just the door and covering it- taping it on the inside. Then you could use a wide ribbon diagonally on it (the door) with the bow either on there or on top. I was pretty good this year and spent yesterday sending my out-of-town stuff. It may arrive on time for a change!

And their cheap...I didn't know that..so when you are sending the wine fridge-don't forget the wine....just drop it in, close it up and stick some ribbon on it.
on the other hand..i don't think I have everything done..where does the time go when you are busy lecturing people?

I'm done with the wrapping, I need to take a half day off tomorrow to finish the baking. I'm hosting Christmas Eve dinner here, prime rib, and whatever else I decide to go with it.

I have one left to wrap, but then agian, I bought it yesterday. I actually paid for most places to wrap them this year and it came out pretty cool. The only problem I had with gift wrapping was Amazon.com. I paid for gift wrapping from them and they put the ipod in a big blue bag about the size of a garbage bag (no exagerations here) and tied it with a bow. They attached the card to the top on the back of USED cardboard (some sort of lettering and barcode stuff was on the back). Was a total rip off.

i too love to wrap... when i worked at williams-sonoma, that was my favorite job. never got old.

on a side note, i got a porn catalog in the mail, and it had free christmas tags inside with naked women on them! :heh: i was thrilled; they're perfect for the gifts i gave to my goofy friends :P

we're going up there tomorrow, no sending. and they have more wine than they know what to do with. they don't need me picking out some crappy bottle of wine since I know nothing about wine. it's funny that my dad will buy good wine and sometimes it is expensive, but he's a cheap skate and never got proper storage space for his wine. CA has no cellars since we have earthquakes. so I finally said screw it, i'll get him a wine storage fridge so his wine doesn't get trashed in the garage.

Mine has been wrapped and unwrapped.

The kids voted to open before they went to dad's house -- usually they wait until they get home on the 26th, but this year, we are leaving as soon as they get home to go to MY PARENTS!!! That was my gift this year.. a trip to IL :D Can't really wrap that one.

BUT, I am wrapping for GS. We signed up for gift wrapping at the BX for fund raising. There are a lot of malls that have the same thing. Different groups wrapping gifts for a donation. Most of the time, it doesn't have to be bought there to be wrapped by the group.

Most of ours were wrapped and under the tree on Thanksgiving night. I do need to pick up two small (< $5) gifts today. Our family starts arriving tonight, so I'm looking forward to three very nice days!

I was up until midnight the other night wrapping all the presents... while watching "Pornucopia" on HBO-- all in the true spirit of Festivus. :P

I still need to wrap THO's stuff. Other stuff has been sent right from the online store, so no wrapping there.

Had wrapped 4 of 5 a few days ago. Just wrapped the last one today.

I guess I cheated. I voted "yes" but as of yesterday the answer was "no". I just avoided the poll until I got it done. I'm fired. :cobra:
