So! Who else got a snow day today? My boss called while I was trying to dig my car out of 6" of snow and 1" of ice....no work today! Yay!

How many of you all don't even know what snow is?!?!?

It's mainly the ice...

There's a layer of ice, snow, and then ice. My county is at level 2 snow emergency. Plus, we are closed tomorrow anyway. Our company is pretty cool...they sent us home early yesterday because it was getting bad and they didn't want any of their employees getting in accidents as it got worse.

I'm lucky I have such a great place to work.

Took me an hour to get into work (normally about 20 min). The silly thing is that they'll probably send us home early & I'll go right back out there.

We have about 6 inches right now, with another 4-6 on the way before the end of the day.

Nothing here in Chicago. Just a really really cold day. The only ice cleanup I had to do this morning was the can of Diet Pepsi that exploded inside my gf's car last night. :P

What are of the country are you in, Jon?

You should see Seattle when they get a little snow or ice. The entire area shuts down for three days even if the snow is all gone by the end of the first.

Beautiful, bright sunshine in NM but we're supposed to get hammered around noonish (per TWC). It's after 11am now and still no sign of snow. Fine with me for in town, but our mountains need it badly... well, I need it badly-to be on the mountains... CAUSE IT'S TIME TO SKIIIIIIIIII HEEE HEEEEEEE !!!!!

Well we woke up to this, this morning when we went to let the dogs out on the deck. For those wondering that drift is nearly 4 foot deep. :gle: The offical count is 27 inches here in southern Indiana!

Oh if snows here you dont want to be out driveing allmost certian that someone will run in to you. The shut down everything too just for a tiny amount of snow.

They haven't said how much snow we're supposed to get here in Calgary, but on Boxing Day it's supposed to be below zero Farenheit (-4 for a high, -13 for a low).

They're talking about blowing snow too, so that means there's going to be a strong wind -- brrrrrrr (and I work outside).

just in the st. nick of time we got 3" of snow here last night. it was coming down heavy at midnight - it was beautiful. :)

today it was sunny which made that fresh snow really glisten, and i just love how fresh the air smells after a new snow like that.

Well it snowed in Houston, a whole 5 or 10 minutes, but it's the first snowfall I've seen in Houston in about 10 years.
