If you're a problem-solver and like where you work... that's understandable and commendable.
I'm simply a problem, and like... don't have a "real" job... so I'm undernourished and condemnable.

I've been at home for about 2 weeks now (in between projects) and I can't wait to get started on my next project! I don't start again until the first week of Jan though... I guess I better enjoy the time off when I have it!
And yes Obby, I too am waiting for the Per diem to start again

I just came back to work after the 4-day weekend and I'm sure not ready for it. Hopefully I don't have to work on Friday so it's only a 3-day work week.

i am at work now for a 3-day work week after a 4-day weekend. was off yesterday, and will be off this Friday and next Monday. i wasn't looking forward to work today since I had to drive to work in massive rain after driving home last night in massive rain over the Grapevine. but now that I'm here, it's ok I guess.
cheapie, i like my work and my co-workers too, but getting paid to be anywhere but at work is the best arrangement ever. I wish I had tons of vacation to burn. But alas, got to save the vacation for the wedding and honeymoon. so you, my friend, are weird. go have a few and enjoy your time off.

COnsidering how much work I have ahead of me in the next few months, I am trying to enjoy as much of my time off as I possibly can. Unless they were a complete loon, nobody ever said on their deathbed, "If I had only spent more time at the office..."

"If I had only spent more time at the office..."
amen to that! unless it is extreme circumstances (like once every few years) I never work late. i love my job and my employer is great, but my boss is the same way so he only asks us to stay late if it is completely necessary. my family comes first no matter what is going on at work. work is just work.

I'm married so I get that itch every morning.
you call it an itch? most people call it a kick, slap, or tirade. we all have our own words for our own things i guess. good luck dodging flying objects.

Oh man... I thought you guys were talking about another kind of itch... like the itch in the morning that your lady helps you scratch... then you help scratch hers... or you scratch each other at the same time. Now THAT'S the morning itch I like to scratch... well used to-when I was married. Dagnabit, now that I think about it... that dang itch is gettin' pretty bad these days. Guess I'll just have to salve that itch myself... NOOOOOOO it's not what you're thinking!
Ok... yes it is.
I'm still at work. What's the best place to throw myself into traffic in LA? I'm thinking Hollywood and Highland.

still at work???
Yes, it's only 9:30pm. I have been here for 13 hours now. Not done yet. Need to find busy intersections.

forget Hollywood and Highland. Just go down the street on Hollywood and jump onto the 101. You'll be done quickly and you can ride the rapids since there is so much rain right now.

Back to work?!?! I just got off early today! I had extra personal time and us n00bs don't get it paid to our checks like the elders...:heh: I was told I had 5 hours left and I needed to use them....I was like..."I'm goin' home!" Got off at 11AM today, no work tomorrow...gonna be a long weekend!
This is my first week back, after 6 weeks off, and I can't wait for this week to end.

I could answer this two ways...
1) Would I prefer to be back at college? Yes. Please...
2) Would I rather be at work? Well, I work at a waterpark that is only open during the summer. So if I were at work, it would be summer. YES!
