So I went to the hospital last night.
I was at a bar, Rob Roy Speakeasy, and i had a drink. Vodka Based. It was well made. Anyway, I order a second drink which they give me with some mixed nuts. I eat some nuts and drink some drink. After finishing the drink I feel really bad. Room was spinning. I get to the bathroom and begin throwing up multiple times. Then I get the sh*ts. So I'm on the toilet and one of the bartenders comes in to make sure I was ok. I told him in my broken japanese I didn't feel so good. He brought me a wet towel and some water. He came back a few minutes later and asked me what I wanted to do. At this point I'm feeling horrible, I'm shaking and very weak. So I ask for a taxi so I can go home. I get home, get upstairs to my apartment and collapse in the entryway at which point my roommates jump in to action.
I don't remember much after that. But this is what I peiced together. My roommates call 119, the emergency number here in Japan. My roommates tell me that the reciever didn't speak English and I spoke to him in Japanese and gave him our address. I didn't know I could do that. Anyways, after that I remember being in the ambulance for a while and then being in a hospital. from the snakebite I have on my hand, it appears they put an IV in me and something else. After a while I stopped shaking and feeling so cold.
This is where I start remembering things again. My roommmate and one of my japanese friends were there in the waiting room. They gave me some antibiotics because apparently my white bloodcell count was high. I was sick a few days ago, but I thought I was over it. Anyways, we paid part of the bill and took a taxi home. Then I promptly went to bed.
So What I'm still trying to figure out is what the hell happened that made me so f*cked up. Usually I can take a lot more alcohol than that. So I don't think the alcohol is the whole reason. My theory is I might be alergic to one of the nuts I ate. I've never eaten mixed nuts cause they just don't appeal to me. I decided to try tonight to try new things, but after eating them is exactly when I started to feel sick. But I don't know enough about allergic reactions to figure it out.
