Dell Outlet Deals

Not a real steal, but if you're looking for a really cheap PC for a friend or relative and too lazy to build one (like me) then Dell's outlets might deserve a look. They're updating their lot by the minute and after hitting reload several times a Dell Dimension 2400 P4 1.8 256MB XP Home popped up for $249 (no tax and free ground shipping)

I wish you could grab Dells w/o the OS, but $249 shipped isn't a bad deal at all for a basic PC.

Looks like they have alot of 8400's with MCE windows because so many people ordered yet they're still on back order or cancel them. Heck I'm still waiting. I ordered on Black Friday. :( Using GotApex's 30% coupon.

I ordered first week of Dec...8400 with MCE...however I think the backorder is the TV Tuner card....when I duplicated my order last month and got 1/25/2005 for ship date...if I removed the tv tuner card, I got 12/22 ship date.

I keep getting delay emails....from 12/17 to 1/5 to 1/10 now.

Update: I just rebuilt the same computer and got 1/25/2005 ship date again....($600 higher price....gotta love that 30% off coupon we used) they are offering single or dual tuner cards....pretty pricey tho vs. what you can find online for those cards.
