CoolerMaster Cavalier 1
...i'm mostly asking in terms of system performance (cooling) -- does anyone know if one outperforms the other in terms of temperatures?
looks-wise, i like both, but i'd give the edge to the CoolerMaster one. But i like that the Antec one comes with silver bezels for the cd/dvd and floppy drives.
Thanks!! :wavey2:

if you are thinking of spending over 100 for a case, i would reccomend the thermaltake tsunami. it is 109 at newegg http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-133-133&depa=0
but if your mind is set on the 2 cases above i would take the coolermaster one
whohoo! my first post!
and no one listen to my dad markel. he is spreading lies about me! :puke:

What the flock.. haha welcome new person, and have fun. Umm i would say the second case seems to be better at cooling, but i think the top one looks better.

I have a Coolermaster case and think it is great. A really well made case. I would buy their products again without hesitation. As for your comment about the bezel, Coolermaster makes a brushed aluminum bezel that will perfectly match the case. Sadly they are sold separately for about $10. I have them installed on the CD burner and DVD ROM and they look perfect. Not that it is as important to you as the Coolermaster case you've selected has the door in front.
I believe that the Coolermaster model you've picked out is the one with the room inside for either a backup PSU or their watercooling system. If that sort of thing is important to you.

you can't go wrong with the Antec case. But for looks I'll take the coolmaster. I havn't had any experience with coolmaster so I don't have an input on it. But with Antec its great.

and if u dont want the themaltake tsunami, go with the thenmaltake shark. it is a little more, but a little better too. heres the link for the shark

... for the shark
.... both look great
Gotta disagree with you there. That "Shark" case looks like a cartoon. I like ones with cleaner, sleeker, more elegant designs. Not ones that look like they were designed by Mikey from American Chopper.

Well, I just got my P160.
My initial thoughts on it:
1. It is really well made. I have been looking at it and they think of just about everything. It is really light, it's nice looking, The edges aren't sharp, they have thumbscrews, and the side is easy to take off.
The way the hard drives are positioned is actually pretty ingenious. They have it at the bottom of the case with little trays that you can take off and put the hdd in without having to go into the case. Then, you can thread the cables through a slot to keep them out of the way.
It has little covers for your fdd, CD and DVD drives so that if your drives aren't a silver color, then it matches the case.
It includes a 120mm case fan. (To be positioned in the back)
I will let you know more as my computer gets built.

Well, I know you got that case already, but I just wanted to give you my thought on it now that just about everything is installed into the case.
1. The case is a breeze to work with. There are a few sharp edges in the part where you put your fdd, but it is easily avoided.
2. The blue led in the front of the case looks kinda cheesy. I'm not sure I like it all that much. Maybe I'll get used to it?
3. I have a slot load DVD drive so that kinda makes things hard for me if I want to make everything match. The lid on the panel doesn't go down so well when the cd/dvd comes out.
4. Even with everything in there, the case is still really nice and light.
I still haven't been able to get the hdd light and the power led to light up...but that will be solved soon.
I like this case and would recommend it to anyone.
