Genuine local news. I couldn't make this stuff up:
LITCHFIELD, Minn. — This year's Princess Kay runner-up has found a new temporary home for the 85 pound block of butter carved in the shape of her head. Melissa Euerle of Litchfield had her head carved in butter as a part of an annual ritual for Princess Kay of the Milky Way contestants at the Minnesota State Fair. The grocery store where it has been stored for the past four months needed remodeling, leaving the butterhead homeless. For now, the two and a half foot tall butterhead is moving to the Fieldgate Factory Outlet Cheese Store in Litchfield. Euerle wanted to preserve her butterhead for a sweet corn feed next summer.
For the uninitiated - each finalist for the Minnesota Diary Princess competition gets their head sculped in a huge block of butter.

TACO JOHN'S IN LITCH GOES SMOKE FREE
12/30/2004
Starting in January, only the aroma of food will be wafting through the air at Taco Johns in Litchfield. Restaurant owners, Jason Lindblad and Ron Christianson, made the decision to be 100% smoke-free starting January 2nd. Lindblad says the large majority of their customers are non- smokers, and smoke-free environments protect the health of both employees and patrons.
If the owners were genuinely concerned about their patron's health, they woudn't be running a low-rent imitation of Taco Bell.
